Description:
Somatic Improv is a 75-minute open-format movement practice that centers the soma — the living, sensing body. Guided by somatic principles, this class invites participants to explore movement through curiosity, play, and awareness. Each session offers space to tune into your body’s inner cues, follow impulses, and rediscover joy in spontaneous movement.
About the Facilitator:
Facilitated by Molly W. Schenck, a Registered Somatic Movement Educator/Therapist and former dance professor, Somatic Improv blends improvisational dance with somatic inquiry. Molly’s trauma-informed and adaptive teaching approach welcomes all bodies, abilities, and experiences. Her facilitation draws from BodyMind Dancing™, Dynamic Embodiment®, and over fifteen years of exploring the intersections between creativity and healing.
